Unlike a lot of other big cities in the United States, we actually like visitors! Because most of us are actually transplants from around the world, we don't mind the hoards of tourists sightseeing in our amazing city — we don't blame them! Clevelanders are often seen chatting with neighbors on the sidewalk or visiting with the clerk at the local grocery store and will definitely wave to you when merging into traffic. It's a quality we love about our community!
Even with the ever-changing weather here in Cleveland, we still love the outdoors. Cleveland touches two Lake Erie beaches: Edgewater Park and Huntington Reservation, both of which offer dog and swim beaches, paddleboard and kayak rentals, fishing piers, picnic areas and more. We also love to run, with several famous marathons happening each year in the area. But, no matter what your outdoor passion is, we have a space for it — from rock climbing and surfing to bouncing in bounce houses.
Because we're home to The Browns, the NBA Champion Cavaliers and the Cleveland Indians, it's hard not to be a die-hard sports fan in Cleveland. Pretty soon you'll be painting your face, donning a jersey and heading out to Jacobs Field (or Progressive Field, it is a name change we're still having a hard time accepting).
With all of the amazing things going on in Cleveland, you might wonder how Clevelanders keep up. The answer: coffee from our nationally recognized coffee houses. From coffee king, Phoenix Coffee who has been roasting locally for over 25 years to newbie Six Shooter Cafe, we have a coffee shop for every taste.
We also love our beer! Over the past few years, Cleveland's craft beer scene has exploded, making us one of the best beer cities in the nation. In fact, we're home to the Great Lakes Brewing Company, the first brewpub and microbrewery in Ohio.

Thousands of visitors come to Cleveland each year, just to marvel at the exquisite buildings. In fact, our distinctive architecture was featured on Fodor's list of reasons to visit Cleveland, and for a good reason. Our city is full of history, gargoyles, Corinthian columns and, of course, beautiful homes. If you haven't yet, be sure to pay a visit to the Arcade, the Cleveland Trust rotunda and the Cleveland Public Library for a little taste of the stunning landmarks from around the area.
Our city is teeming with rock and roll history. We hosted the first-ever major rock concert in 1952, the Moondog Coronation Ball that featured Tiny Grimes, Paul Williams, the Hucklebuckers and many more musical geniuses. The show was hosted by Alan Freed, a Cleveland DJ who many consider the originator of the term "Rock and Roll". All of that rock and roll history along with our amazing record stores, rockin' venues like the Agora and the House of Blues and the world famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame — make us a must-visit destination for music lovers.
