This annual Independence Day event stretches the festivities to last almost an entire week! On June 29th, join the city of Worthington Hills for a fun-filled 5K run/walk through the Hills and then participate in a family-friendly game of softball at Worthington Hills Elementary School. On June 30th, head out once more for the Fun Fest, a family carnival full of all of your favorite activities. And finally, on the big day itself, July 4th, watch the festive neighborhood parade and experience the most unique patriotic display around — a drone show!

Red, White & BOOM! began in 1981 when 30,000 locals gathered in Bicentennial Park to watch a small fireworks display. Since then, it has grown into the largest Fourth of July event in Columbus and one of the most widely recognized fireworks displays in the entire Midwest region!
Upper Arlington really loves the 4th of July. So much so, that at 6:30 in the morning on Independence Day, you'll find helpful volunteers hustling through the streets to noisily announce that the much anticipated day of celebration has begun. After the entire city has had their annual wake up call, you'll find them lining the intersection of Northwest Boulevard and Zollinger Road to watch one of the best parades in the Columbus area. Plus — don't miss the evening party in the park and fireworks display that will conclude the evening.
If you're looking for something a bit more "political" to do this Independence Day, head down to the Short North district and watch the 36th Annual Doo Dah Parade. This free event features the "best political satire parade west of the White House" along with some great food and great live music. This year's lineup is full of fantastic local talents like Doc Robinson and the Devil Doves. You can find the full, impressive lineup and list of events on their website.
